South Vern Release
South Vern is part of the Lost Ark April update releasing on April 21, 2022. The update also contains the Glaivier class as well as the Feiton Powerpass, new skins, Quality of Life improvements, and more. See the Lost Ark roadmap for more details.
South Vern Basics
- South Vern is the second Tier 3 continent alongside Punika.
- The continent consists of two zones:
- Candaria Territory: “The territory of South Bern begins in Kandaria. There are no large settlements here, but small villages are scattered everywhere. The main attraction of this province is considered to be the majestic Golden Route – a trade route that crosses the whole of Kandaria.”
- Bellion Ruins: “The Sillines, who left Rohendel, founded the first city of Bern, Bel-Illion, in these lands. Since then, a lot of water has flown under the bridge, but the ruins of the city still contain ancient magic..”
- Item level 1340 is required to enter South Vern.
- South Vern doesn’t have a major city.
- According to Streamer ATK, the South Vern story doesn’t take more than two hours.

South Vern Official Announcement
The settlers of South Vern borrowed technology from many different races to turn this once-barren land into a place of abundant waters and green pastures. Hearing rumors of the dangers that plagued North Vern, the Senate shut South Vern down and formed a new knightly order. Suspecting that something was amiss, Ealyn, the Queen of Vern ordered Knight Commander Avele to investigate. What could be happening to this peaceful continent? Uncover the mysteries of South Vern as you venture into this new region, encounter new characters, and complete quests. South Vern will join Punika as the second Tier 3 continent, requiring an item level of 1340 to begin. For our newer players, we’ll be sharing more information on how to work your way toward Tier 3 and join this new adventure.
Note: It is not yet known whether all listed South Vern content will also be available in Lost Ark NA/EU right from the start!

Update: As Community Manager Roxx confirmed at the official Discord, Sout Vern Chaos Dungeons are “not slated in for immediate release with South Vern atm”.
sorry if this has been asked and you already answered roxx, but are you planning to release the south vern chaos dungs with the upcoming update? and if thats the case, will this include only the 1415 one or the 1445 one also? curious cause the 1445 drops relic accesories and this would cause a bigger disparity
They are not slated in for immediate release with South Vern atm
- South Vern has 7 Chaos Dungeon levels (1415, 1445, 1475, 1490, 1520, 1540, 1560) (Source: KR player on Reddit)
- First Chaos Dungeon (1415) rewards shattered Relic armor parts will Lv 3 Tripods (small chance at Lv 4)
- Second Chaos Dungeon (1445) can drop Relic accessoires.
- Since there is no major city in Sout Vern, the Chaos Dungeon can be entered from North Vern (once South Vern story is completed)
Chaos Line
Update: Learn more in our dedicated Chaos Line guide.
- Weekly content.
- One of the best sources for materialis, according to Stoopzz.
- The dungeon is located in the Ruins of Bel’Illion zone
- Required ilvl Normal: 1370
- Required ilvl Hard: 1415
- A simple, repeatable weekly roster quest provides two entrance tickets (Sphere of Purification).
- Entrance tickets can be used for Normal and Hard, but in there different tokens will drop.
- Modes drop different tokens.
- Tokens can be exchanged for T3 honing mats, cards, engravings, silver and rapport items. Most valuable item to get: Focus rune.
- Most things you can get are roster-wide.
- Comparable to Chaos Dungeons (also in terms of difficulty).
- Consists of 50 floors that don’t have ilvl requirements, but only the first 25 floors give rewards.
- You can do higher floors first and get the rewards from the lower floors as well.
- When you run it, you have a chance to get Omnium Star #7 as a drop from the boss.

New Adventurer’s Tome & New Stronghold Merchant
- Adventurer’s Tome South Vern is coming.
- At 70% you’ll get an item starting the quest to unlock another stronghold merchant: Marte. More details: How to Unlock Stronghold Merchant Marte in Lost Ark.
- Marte is selling the runes Conviction and Judgment (27,000 Adventurer’s Seals each).

In South Vern there are 5 NPCs you can build rapport with:

- Neria (Candaria Territory)
- Ludwig (Bellion Ruins)
- Cindy (Candaria Territory)

South Vern Excavating
