Job DescriptionCome join our team! McMinnville Water and Light is hiring for the position of Journeyman Lineman, or an Apprentice who is in their 5th Step or above of an apprenticeship program.

About The PositionA Journeyman Lineman works as a member of a crew to construct, install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain an underground and overhead electrical transmission and distribution system.
Our ideal candidate will highly value safety, team collaboration and will be able to work efficiently and effectively in a variety of situations. Our linemen perform a variety of work which may include Operation and Maintenance of substation equipment and apparatus, performing switching procedures, operating test equipment, and operating excavators and digger derricks.

Minimum Qualifications For LinemanIn order to be considered for the selection process, applicants must have the following:
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Successful completion of an approved Journeyman Lineman apprenticeship.
Valid Oregon Class A CDL driver’s license with air brake.
Upon employment, qualified under IBEW Local 125 as Journeyman Lineman.
CPR and First Aid cards; ODOT Traffic Flagger card; proficiency at pole top and vault rescue.
Live within 30 minutes of the utility.
Must pass a pre-employment drug test, physical, and background check, and have an acceptable driving history verified through DMV.
